Professional Profile
Dr Cherng Jong graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1997. He undertook postgraduate training in the UK and completed specialist Dermatology training in 2008. Dr Jong has been a Consultant Dermatologist for 15 years, two of which were spent in Newcastle, Australia.
Dr Jong has a special interest in diagnosing and treating skin cancers and dermatological conditions, but he also treats all types of rashes and dermatology conditions. He was the Clinical and Skin Cancer Lead for West Kent Dermatology from 2016 to 2023.
He is also a clinical supervisor for medical students, specialist nurses and GPs with special interests in Dermatology. He has published papers on photosensitive skin conditions and contact allergies, and has written a book chapter for a registrar training textbook.
